Sudbury House is situated on the edge of the market town of Faringdon in Oxfordshire. Faringdon was once known as "Chipping Faringdon" which meant "the market place on the ferny down". The market place has been the centre of the town since Henry III granted the charter for a market in 1218.
Nearby you will find the University City of Oxford, Swindon, Cheltenham, The Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Uffington White Horse & The Ridgeway Walk, Radcot Bridge (the oldest bridge over the River Thames), as well as many country houses.
Faringdon's most notable feature is without doubt the Folly Tower, situated just a short walk from the hotel. Although only completed in 1935, it has become a well-known local landmark, visible for miles around.
